Here at Oztech I want to provide the most up-to-date IT articles and information. I will be updating our articles as often as possible.
Computer parts and computer repair can be something that can scare most people. Opening a computer and looking at all the parts and cables can be confusing. I'm going to try to take away fear and confusion from this. Check out my Computer Information and Articles section.
Computer Overview
Below you will see a list of some of the major components of a computer. Most of the parts that I list are necessary components for a computer to run. Of course there are a bunch of "extras" you can add on to a computer to enhance its functionality but overall this is what you will need.
- Case
- Motherboard
- Processor (CPU)
- Memory (RAM)
- CD-Rom or DVD Rom
- Keyboard
- Mouse
- Monitor
In addition to these parts, there are a vast number of other components that you can put into or attach to the computer. Below is a short list of some components you can add to the PC.
